A memorial page in memory of

Adriana Deri

‏Adriana was a mother above all, and proudly called her children "my five super-heros". ‏She loved art, history and film. She had the best sense of humor and a ton of useless information which she found useful. ‏Adriana made her own path and always stayed true to her heart. Her only regret in life was not being able to see her family abroad one last time.

Story of my life

‏Adriana known as Mami, was born in Bogotá, Colombia. When she was four years old, her family moved to California where she grew up. At the age of 21, she followed her heart to Israel to be with her husband Oren and started a new life there.

‏She grew up as the only girl with five older brothers in a traditional Colombian family that valued creativity and education, even though they had limited resources.

‏Adriana was unique, full of energy, creativity, and knowledge. She loved all kinds of art, sewing, knitting, drawing, and crafts. She was also highly educated, with degrees in Art History and History. Photography and law were among her many interests. She had a brilliant mind and was always learning new things.

‏She was a loving mother who made amazing meals and filled her home with love and laughter. Her humor was unforgettable, and she wasn’t afraid to say what was on her mind. she often expressed herself with colorful language that made people smile.

‏Adriana worked in many different jobs during her life, including being a bank assistant, graphic designer, English teacher, florist, and even a newspaper delivery person. Her flexibility and determination were incredible.

‏Despite living with serious health problems for many years, she always fought with strength, humor, and a positive spirit that inspired everyone.

‏Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world. She taught them to be strong, to face life’s challenges, and to always remember that family is what matters most.

‏Adriana will always be remembered for her wisdom, humor, love of learning, and her no-nonsense attitude. She was our supermom, and her spirit lives on in her children and grandchildren.

‏“All my mama taught me, ’cause she said she learned the hard way, she said, ’Don’t give or sell your soul away, ‘cause all that you have is your soul.’”
‏—T. Chapman
